Hot Rods 1934 ford survivor Milwaukee

DITTO. That is KILLER!!! Man, those tires on wide and wider aluminum slots are the ice cream on top of the home-made apple pie!! PERFECT!

 

I think I may be comming around on this one!
It is starting to look like an old '60s dirt track modified,
that was '60s high tech. When I saw the wheels and tires , it clicked.
Also. and I'm a big fan of runnin'what ya brung, NOBODY
would build that car today. Switch me over to the I like it as it is camp!

 

And the plates are cool as hell!!

 

I'd just leave it as is. It's well built, you said it runs great and everything works, so just drive it.

I wouldn't call it a survivor, though. To me that means it's still got everything that it came with from the factory. This isn't a survivor 34, but a survivor 70's build.

As a guy who was born in the the 70s that car reminds me of a hot wheels car or model or something from when I was a kid. I'd leave that car as is. I'm not into IFS but the dropped axle is long gone and that car is a time capsule.

I did find the owner of its sister car that was chopped filled and smoothed by the same guy , Johnny Kaine

 

Someday there's going to be a site like the HAMB but it'll be for late 60s and70s rods street roddy resto rods, pink bullet nose Studebakers and billet dueces and how to build cars in that style and those guys are gonna hate us for butchering their historic builds haha.

They'll be like man back in 2016 those assholes scrapped the suspension off that coupe and put a 34 grill shell back on it and totally fucked up the car but I'm gonna put it all back

1) what you are describing is eighties build style
2) theres already guys here that feel that way about what lots of HAMB assholes are doing to late fifties/early sixties survivor hot rods...deuce grill shells on Model 40's are fifties style, not seventies/eighties...

 

That chassis is really impressive workmanship, I'm not sure I would have even repainted it. But it's great in that the history of it is saved forever. This car had to be mind-blowing when originally finished in '73.

 

I think some people will never appreciate it. It's part of hot rod history like it or not the car was preserved as a late 60's early 70's car a transition from hot rods of the 50's but not a street rod by any means I'm happy to be the new owner and will continue to enjoy it for years to come!
