I have a pair of headlights that were on a '38 Chevrolet pick-up but, I'm almost certain they are not '38 Chevrolet. I plan to reuse these because I think they're cool with the side marker light. These are mounted horizontally but, I think they're original use was vertical, since there is a small drain hole in what would be the bottom. I'd like to order new rings and bezels for them but, I don't know what they are. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

  2. Is there not a brass tag on the top of the bucket near the parking light? Look like Guides.

I had a pair that looked like that and was able to use 52 Ford truck rings. Worth a try.

  6. VERY similar to the 1940s COE Dodge truck, but the stand is a bit different.

The buckets look like my OTBGEAR headlights. They sell parts for the headlights. They are repo of old Guide headlights. The flange that bolts on can be mounted on the inside of the headlight to.

Can you post a picture of the inside of the marker light? I just got a pair of marker lights like that and they came from a Diamond T truck. They look similar to the Guide and K-B lights but the lens is much bigger when compared side by side.

Replacement light for early bulb type lamps. Note dual index for sealed beam. Check point on back of bucket for stamp, B-L-C looking to me.

Looks like something I saw on an old Mack truck.

  12. Had some once that came off a White truck. Got them cheap. Realized the bottom was on the side after I grabbed them up thinking the guy didn't know what he had! Took along time to sell them!

Thanks for all the comments......you know, when nothing else works, try the obvious......I remembered these DO have a brass tag....(thanks, timwhit)...they are original Guide 682-C lights. This truck has been in the same family since 1940 and was an oil-field service truck. I'm guessing the originals got whacked somewhere along the way and these were available so...they found their way onto the truck. And yes, OTBGEAR has all the parts I need. Thanks, again guys !!!

Wouldn't there be brass tags behind the turn light if they were 682-C's???

Diamond T, White, Autocar, Mack, Fageol, Federal, and REO all used guide headlights similar to that. I don't think Dodge did. They are nice lights.
