Looks photoshopped. They even "filled" all the frame rail holes when they "painted" it.

I know exactly where those Customline frames are, my old man bought the bodies about 15 years ago. The diff from one of tgem is under the house about to go into his '56 Courier.

In regards to "saving" cars like the '57 T-Bird a few pages back, I think it depends who you're taking it from. If a car has an owner, I think you should respect his or her wishes. On the other hand, I tried for years to get permission from the local Council to buy parts off an abandoned local property they'd seized. Just after Christmas they bulldozed and scrapped 40+ cars and trucks (nothing newer than 1968). With scrap metal at $30 a tonne here, they'd have been better off opening the property up for collectors to pick through. I would have paid what they got for scrapping the whole car for one bumper. There's another abandoned council owned property nearby that's facing the same fate. I think I might do what all the other local car guys do and grab what I need before a $3000 parts car ends up as a $30 lump of scrap under the treads of a Caterpillar.

This almost looks like they towed the Caddie in and just left it hooked up to the wrecker.

Looks like it, but the wrecker still gets used, and the Cad was being pulled from its resting place. There were over 100 old Ford window regulators and an engine block in the trunk!

Saw this about 6 years ago. Guess it's a very early International buckboard-like vehicle with a horizontal engine. It has been sold since. 805.jpg 805.jpg 807.jpg 806.jpg 808.jpg

    Very cool!!

  22. You got that right! Not too Smart. Include those GM's in the first picture and the 39/40 4dr on that list, too. Must be hurting for quick money if they're gonna give up all that good tin for $30 a ton. It really pains me living on the East Coast, also, when I see this happening. You'd think that there wud be plenty of Chrysler "K" cars, Toyota's, Datsun's, etc. that they cud be gathering and scrapping instead.:(:( There's plenty of Northwest rodders, so maybe they'll get saved. We can only hope!
