Hot Rods 31 Model A Victoria Build w/Pics - Miss Vicky

You have inspired me to TRY my interior, maybe this winter I'll study your pics and give it a go.

 

Got a little more done this weekend. I insulated the floor, made carpet patterns, cut and fit the carpet, and dropped the carpet off at the upholstery shop to get the edges bound.








I also installed the windshield gl*** and rubber and touched up the paint on the frame.



I painted the trans tunnel shiny black.






And I made an adjustment to the accelerator pumps on the carbs to try to get rid of the bog, and took Miss Vicky for a test drive.

That interior is spot on, you've done a really nice job throughout this build.

 

Welp, I took a little 190 mile drive up to the Jalopyrama last weekend. Made it there and back without incident. The car still needs a little tweaking, but overall, she's solid. Here are a few pics from the show snapped by my pal HelmuthBrothers:

Dave, the car looked great at Jalopyrama....I spoke briefly to Lee, Martin and OJ while you were busy talking to the crowd that had gathered by the car.

 

Thanks Al, I appreciate the kind words.

I agree that "it never ends" in reference to the car itself, but as far as this thread goes, post number 1138 will be the last update.

 

What's next?

What's the status of the TRJ / Rocket Wheels contest?

 

I got a call from Mr. ****an Monday evening. Seems they're still deliberating, but it sounds like the winner will be announced soon. So I guess for now I'm still in the running. Fingers crossed.
