As another model A owner who had his 30 closed cab pickup stolen in Oregon...here's a bump. Good luck.

    Thanks guys...

This was stolen from Frank Sublett who just purchased this coupe body from me and was on his way home.

He stopped at a Hotel in Knoxville, TN for the night and it was gone the next morning.

Look for a coupe body with holes in the top of the quarter panels from the aftermarket rear turn signals.....or patches welded in there. Probably the only one in the whole country with signals mounted there.

That's about 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville, meaning the theft occurred around 3:00 AM. Any chance the 5:30 spotting was off the interstate at a fuel stop or convenience store that has security cameras?
I have to wonder if someone spotted the body on the open trailer, followed it off the interstate in Knoxville, then waited until night fall to steal it. Any description of the tow vehicle in Fort Payne?

And holes/patches from that cowl antennae. Is that an early/crude sheet metal roof filler?

So even the newer trucks are fairly easy to steal? Looks like a 90's or 2000's model?

.........Apparently so. A good friend of mine had a fairly new late 90's Silverado stolen (very quickly) in broad daylight about 15 yrs. ago from a mall in the Hall's Crossroads area of Knoxville. Could have been the same "crew" of thieves.

My 58 Impala convertible was stolen in Milwaukee Wi. back in the 60's used to work all-night stocking grocery store. Called Police and was giving them a detailed description and officer pointed out to me, they do not look for stolen vehicles, no time, had a 5 page list of cars stolen in the last 48 Hours, the only way they turn up is, abandoned, accident, parking tickets, illegal parking, etc. Fortunately or me, parking tickets, 3, before officer checked list, police called my home, Mom called school, took a cab w/***le to location of car and avoided towing and storage fees. Happily got my car back, no damage, dismissed parking tickets, BUT there always 1 guy, (not the officer I met at car) got a ticket for mufflers in ba*****t parking garage of police department where I followed officer to get parking tickets released. The Police Dept and our Sheriff's do a excellent job, the times I have dealt with them, can only say good things and THANK them for their service.

What a shame, if caught the thieves should be casterated and hung out to dry
