It's been a hell of a winter. In November we pulled my motor cause the ****** needed rebuilt. So I thought I'd put a cam in the motor and just to be safe, we pulled a head. One thing lead to another and basically my motor was a time bomb ready to blow at any moment.

With that bullet dodged, Silent Rick hooked me up with a block. It had cracks in the #1 and #5 cylinder.

Motor #3 came from my Dad and he pulled it out of a '70 Torino about 15 years ago. Thanks Dad. It came back from the machine shop on Friday and we started ***embling it.

I didn't get much done on Saturday cause there was a photo shoot on Saturday...

But Sunday we started final ***embly. Thanks to hotrodch***is, cyclebilly and hotrod34 (your friendly and helpful staff at Hot Rod Ch***is and Cycle) for all their help with this motor debacle this far. The Hot Rod 101 cl*** paid off and I ***embled a few things myself, under hotrodch***is's watchful eye.

My Ace Frehley pistons are going to ROCK Chris50's shoebox. ;)

    That's all for now.

We are going to try to finish up and start painting tomorrow night.

I am determined to drive this thing to the Roundup.

Sure the engine is nice... but are there any more pictures of the chick??? ()()

I'm glad things are looking up for you. (just between you and I... I think Chris paid silent rick to slip you the bad block...)

I had "just got lucky" running through my head as she straddled the sissy bar like a pole.

Maybe I will post another pic for thirtyfivepickup since he is another indespensible player in this rebuild...

  11. You mean an engine block isn't supposed to be covered with a 1/4" layer of sludge and filth on the inside?? I'll have to try that sometime....

Who is Don Dokken? Damn Jeff and I thought we were about the same age?? hahaha

Don Dokken's first solo cd was called Up From the Ashes, and had a phoenix rising from the ashes on the cover. This whole ordeal is moving ahead and my car is about to come up from the ashes. Also as Don Dokken's first solo effort away from Dokken, this is my first time building an engine instead of running a junkyard motor.

Blame the music references on too much influence from Plowboy. :D

Plus that chick had hair and ****s right out of my hair band days. It was awesome. ;)

Man, I know you put a lot into that engine. Is that blood dripping on the engine stand?

juuuust in case you guys dont know,... don dokken is a hot rodder too!

he bought a rod from my buddy for him and his son to build together (even though there wasnt much left to build). very cool guy.

and george lynch lives about 2 miles from me, and works out at the same gym!...

    wierd???!!!!!

i used to get a sore neck head banging to these guys in the 80's and now they are "neighbors" so to speak. (well not don)....kinda wierd

Dokken = Lame Ha Ha Ha

He would be nothing without George Lynch and wild Mick Brown!

I do have Dokken greatest hits in the changer though. It is hard to judge good 80's metal without the "check" of Dokken to compare it to. Total middle of the road stuff in my opinion.

You want good 80's metal? Listen to Ro** Gang.

the best thing to come from that era was SUICIDAL TENDENCIES...even though it was technically "80's **** metal hair band"....it was 80's and it was skatemetal,...and it kicked ***!

A Rolls Royce? How disappointing. I was hoping for at the very least a Camaro... ;)

I will give you that. George RULES. I was in a compe***ion in high school and I played Mr Scary. I think I have it on vhs at my parent's house. From age 15-30, George, Eddie and Nuno were my biggest influences.

BTW, this motor is going to be Ford Red, rather than the Ford Green the #1 302 was.

That does look like blood Gregg. Blood sweat and tears man!

Totally Agree! I still listen to it! ST was/is one of my favorite bands, saw them live in 94 I think with Metallica, I went more for ST than Metallica! I also dug Infectious Grooves, basically ST with more b***....
