Can anyone help me with an interesting car I found. I’m trying to find some history on it. All I know was in 1961 this was one of 5 Corvettes made in St.Louis and sent to Switzerland’s Bienne plant and modified to EU standards and was raced there. It was completely frame up restored original completed in 2013. I believe it might be the only 61 still in existence out of the original 5 that was sent to Bienne in 1961, VIN # is 108675100109 . Later there was a 1965 "Swiss Racer" sent there and is now in Seattle. I would appreciate any feedback that can help me with the history of these cars sent to Bienne SA in 1961. Thanks , Gerry
I know next to nothing about the export cars although am familiar with the Swiss Racer. By the VIN you have a very early production car, like the 109th out of 10,939. Where is that tag attached to that shows the serial number? Can you post more photos of it and the engine compartment and maybe some suspension pieces? Also, try and contact user name" export corvette" at http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...01-search-for-export-c1-and-c2-corvettes.html

I didn't anticipate seeing Vettes here but I am happy...check out my original paint 63 coupe...yes, the paint is as it left the factory...the photos don't do justice of the patina on this car...paint cracks everywhere and faded...so neat...lucky to have acquired it!
Gee, thanks for adding something completely irrelevant to the question in this thread. I guess you're so excited you just had to show off.
