Hello. I have had my truck since 2003 and have gone through all kinds of nonsense with it. I had to sue a mechanic from holding on to it and stripping it of parts etc... but I have managed to hold on to it and fix it up slowly. I drive it all the time. I am not making it original. It looks classic, has a hot rod style engine (OLDS 350 v-8 5.7L) and am modernizing/computerizing the cab. No I do not know why they did not put a small block Chevy in it. My theory is that is what they had sitting in the yard, lol. I painted the engine pink! I am going to just polish the color it is and clear coat it so it keeps the patina. Currently working on dash components after replacing the dash with a remanufactured LMC dash. Next investment is new gauges. I currently have no idea how fast i am going or when i will run out of gas, but I added a temp gauge that works! I am not what you would consider a car enthusiast, but I love MY truck! I like being self sufficient and I like broken down old shit. ;-)
