Anyone use Speedway Engineering for a quick change rear.......or anything else, looking for feedback. http://1speedway.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=81&product_id=110
I've run a SuperMax in a Bonneville car since 2009 - no problems so far with 900+ fhp. However, in street use ( if I recall correctly ) Ken Sapper told me that it might have problems in a hot rod with a large rear street tire at 700 fhp. It's all a matter of how much grip you get, but if you are looking for a V8 size rear, I doubt you'll be exceeding that limit. Ken and Frank Jr are knowledgeable hot rod and racing guys with quality products and good service. vic
I have one under my 5-window which will be under its own power within a few months. Ill let you know if I break it.
I looked at the Speedway Engineering rears and priced them and in the end decided on the Winters V8 Nostalgia quick change. I bought it from a Winters vendor, Speedway Motors. A good price and a very nice quick change.
Have Winters and broke it .... went to Speedway Engineering Supermax... handles BBC blown/Muncie/Micky Thompsons no problemo.. + 4 years
I haven't used their Quick Change, but I had them do some work/modifications on my Winters Quick Change a few years back. Nice guys, know what they are doing. It would not surprise me at all to find that the Winters parts and the Speedway Engr. parts come from the same foundry. Mike
Ken is a very knowledgeable person about QC's and he will tell you what they will handle and what they won't. I have never used one but know people who have and love them.
