Hello, I was steered to this site and have been reading for a few days and I'm likin' all the knowlege I see. Must admit I don't understand even half of what's goin on here but decided to intro myself at any risk. I'm 50, live in Shelbyville TN, moved here 8 months ago from MI, hauled all 13 of my old cars down here one at a time on weekends while working full time, (13 round trips at 1100 miles each). Now my wife supports me while I do everything from barn building to moppin' the floor. I'm going today to probably buy two 34 fords that I will be old school streetrodding. In th 80's I built 3 bare bone street rods and figured everything out the hard way. In the 90's I sold them and started collecting original fords from 34 to 41. Now the time has come, I'm doing a mild flatty 39 coupe street rod and starting a 34 Ford 2 door. The power will be a 355 chevy motor I've already built, the frame and components are gonna be basic but safe. Thats it. Good to get in here and hope I'm a fit. Oh yea, I've got 2 ole dirt track stockcars too. jb Snatcher
WELCOME.......You are in a very good area for circle racing ie Duck river at wheel tenn and winchester plus several more dirt tracks plus several asphalt race ways.. Also Sville is the home of the Hoodlum Alley Cruisers. They have several good shows every year. A fair amount of hot rod activity is within 100 miles of you. The main problem is lots of gold chainers billett and tweed more restored musel cars than wou want to look at. Watch this site as several more hamb members are from the nashville area.. Welcome again..Bobby....Poor Boys CC Tennessee /////Alabama chapter..////
