    44 ford 1/2 ton
I have s 3" dropped axle with just the first leaf removed, leaving 6 leaves
At the rear I have raised the spring mounts 2 1/4" and then removed 4 leaves
I would like to get another inch of drop. I could reverse the main leaves. This looks a problem at the front mounting of the rear leaf as Spring will foul the mounting
Alternatively I could remove more leaves. Wondering how many leaves I could remove? Currently have 6, front and rear
Does removing longer/ shorter leaves have a bigger impact on the amount of drop
    Sorry for rambling on!

I doubt you removed first leaf, It attaches spring to vehicle, Maybe the SECOND, but not the first,?

Also, could you show a picture of your '44 1/2 TON.?

I usually leave the two longest, then remove every other one and put it all back together.

I found one in the woods last fall; I think it's a 1 1/2 ton, but thought it would make a cool hotrod pickup with some (read: a LOT) of work, although the sheetmetal is rather thin and perforated in places. Did you relocate the front axle above the springs, or did it come that way? DSCN0511.JPG
