I just got a 2½" aluminized dual-system w/Flowmasters and H-pipe, from manifolds to bumper for $425 on my OT 1967 Impala SS. I was shocked at how cheap it was as most of my quotes were $600-$900. And this is in Orange County, CA.

Paid 500.00 for my 38. I furnished the "head pipe" from the Fentons to the mufflers, the mufflers and exhaust tips. Seems like a lot of money but the job was / is perfect! Great couldn't have been better.

I will say, I may have paid $750 for my whole exhaust, but the quality of the work was worth the additional cost in my area. I got quotes and had previously had exhaust done with off the shelf cheap hangers and aluminized mild steel tubing for between 350-500. The difference with the shop I used for the galaxie and all my off topic stuff since is the quality and service.

Instead of crush bent cheap tubing, mig welded, generic cheap hangers, I got stainless everything, he custom made his own hangers, welded it all with a torch, and spent a half hour with me under the car planning where the tubing would go so it was as tight up to the floor as it could be without interfering with removing or adding anything later. I had to pull the ****** after a year after the exhaust was done and let me tell you, I definitely appreciated the time he took to do it right when I got the ****** in and out without having to do much as brush against any exhaust.

If you just want to have visible tips and a certain sound and don't care about its quality or longevity, find one of those cheap *** shops every major city has that specializes in the kids with trucks. The ones that advertise 300 dual exhaust in less than a day. If you want it to be done correctly and last a long time, look for a pro, an older guy who lots of old timers recommend.

For what it's worth, the exhaust was done 6 years ago on my galaxie and two owners later it has never had a leak, no hangers have broken, and no work or modifications have required messing with the pipes...

You're lucky you don't live down here! Those prices are cheap compared to what we pay for a good exhaust.

I'd say you're about right on the 5 to 700 range. I just paid 450 for a 2.5 single from the collector to the tip. I provided the muffler.

I paid $200 for single from collector to tip. I supplied muffler. The shop owner does the older vehicles and he is fast. 30 minutes and I was out the door. There are a few bends as well as going over the rear axle on my old truck. Our only conversation was where I want exhaust to exit, side or rear?

You can reduce the price substantially, if you buy & hang the mufflers and tail-pipes
yourself. ***uming you want stock outlets.
Then, just have a shop do the head pipe hookup.
I always do it this way for stock type pipes. If I do side exits, I make them myself.
    I'm cheap
