I have been playing around with the direction for the dash on the Austin. I decided to use the original dash piece but drilled for my new gauges. To finish it off I decided to do an engine turn silver. I have seen it on lots of dashes and firewalls, let's see your engine turn pieces?
Jeweling, Damascening, Krayling. Mostly done with a small pencil size eraser or scotch pad. Boring....yawn.....
Something about yours looks off to me. how did you do it? I've done it with a roloc wheel and my drill press. I like to overlap my turns a bit more than yours. The roloc lets some of the under turn show through, really adds depth
Most of us know what it's called and how it's done. If it's so boring for you why did you bother posting? Here's my dashboard and firewall, hope it doesn't put everyone to sleep. Mick
The gauge panel on my pavement modified And also the rear spoiler [HASHTAG]#NotChrome[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#StillFast[/HASHTAG] Not fancy, but I always engine turn my gauge panels
The dia. of the circles needs to be much smaller so as to show a definite pattern of overlap. Right now it looks too random and visually mismatched.
