I have just acquired a 1920 Dodge Brothers roadster pickup. Needs a lot of work to make it right.
    1920 Dodge Brothers truck body
    Ford Model A truck bed
    Currently on a Model T ch***is
    Ford 9in rear end
    Ford Model A front end
    Planning on a 32 ford ch***is
Putting either a flathead 6 or an early Hemi in it. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1453960852.317830.jpg

Wow Congrats on a cool find! I love the plans you have please do a build thread as you progress so we can follow along. I see you are going with the modern four bucket suspension as opposed to the traditional four milk crate suspension or the reliable four log suspension Ha Ha Good Luck with the project and keep us posted. Awesome, I'll be following along with this one. Keep us posted!! I like the early Hemi or flathead 6 either one is cool in my book.

  11. There is a lot of distance between the baby hemi and the flathead 6. LOL

But you got my attention either way. I'm in. ;)

  12. Burl, is that a Fast Four? If you still have the orinigal rear, I'm looking for a replacement center for my Dodge :)

Ah. Chevrolet is two rays sunnier than dodge. Thanks for the clarification.

BTW the bolt on Z on the T frame is neat. Is it homemade? Or aftermarket?

What you have there is a 1924 to 1927 dodge screen Side truck cab .
Makes a awsome RPU ! These are well built solid cabs , the touring front doors will fit
    I believe . Have fun !

Was wondering why the cowl didn't curl up at the windshield... is that because it was a screen side?

Dodge started business after successfully suing Ford for a disputed issue on the forgings
    They provided Ford motor co.
1915 was dodge brothers first year , only the open cars in 1915 and 1916 had a glove box .
The tulip body style went from 1915 to 1922 I believe ,, that is the "early" body style and what you have is the second change in body's style. The fold down seat back frame was to allow access to the cargo from the front of the load ( screen sides , like a panel truck access was only front or rear )

The windshield stanchions slide vertical  way down inside, Then the windshield frame ALMOST touches the cowl metal, save for a rubber seal..;) they are just barely in where they belong.

It will certainly be a cool ride when it's done . I'll be watching also .

  21. verde742, thanks for the offer! Unformtunately, the big truck rear won't work- needs to be a Fast Four rear.

Those kickups are reproduction, check eBay they are on there all the time. My 1912 Ford has lots of DB parts on it, they were making parts lots of cars before going into the car building business on their own. Bob
