I found mine locally for about 1/3 the price of Dennis Carpenter,Mac's or Cl***ic you do need to measure it yourself and add an extra two yards.
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I measured my 53 4dr Ford custom yesterday and here are the numbers I came up with. Front doors are 110 inches and rear doors are 113 inches. Add them up and add 2 extra yards and if I figured right you should need 14 and 1/2 yards. Hope this helps you out!
Upholstery supply shop not more than a few blocks S. of I 10 on the west side of a numbered street...(forgot the number...50ish???) Just a guess...been there. Jimmy...the windlace is the fabric covered round foam trim around the door jams that seals up against the doors when shut. Helps keep some of the wind out that the seals don't.. It's usually about 1/2" dia. If you're not doing a restoration oem reupholstering, you can make your own. The oem stuff is pricey. Here's a pic of the stuff I made and how I added wood strips to attached it. Articles I read recommended this approach over trying to use the factory oem brackets for securing the windlace. worked for me.!
The windlace is the part shown in the picture indicated by the red arrow. Here is the contact info,H&R supplies well over 100 auto upholstery shops in the Phoenix area and also sells retail. http://handrsales.com/
Guess my memory ain't too bad...that's the place I was guessing was your source. I went there for some weldwood Landau roof contact cement that I used on much of my upholtery stuff...including the windlace. I imagine they also carry the foam core for it , but I did have that locally available. The premade windlace that was asked about of course wouldn't have a need for the core or cement.
Thanks so much for the explanation and pics. I didn't know you could buy it already made up. When I did my 39 Ford coupe, I made it myself out of 1/2 rubber tubing and then sewed the vinyl over it. It looked as good as a pros job (or close to it) BTW, Tex, your car looks great
