    Hi All,

I'm getting ready to order some ww's for my 58 Coronet but I wanted to see what a set of tires with a 2" ww so I have an idea as to what that looks like. I'm most likely going with a set from Calli.

    Thanks,
    Sam

I'm looking at Calli tires but they don't show a good shot of the 2" ww on the tire. They show a quarter of the tire in a small thumbnail so it's hard to make a good judgement off of that.

The ones I had on my '55 Buick were just under 2", around 1-7/8", as I recall.

Great picture and car! Thanks that's what I'm after. So the 2" would be almost identical to this which I think would work nicely for my car. It even looks like our cars share the same style hubcaps so that helps even more.

    Hi All,

I just want to circle back on this. I ended up going with Calli tires and I got a 2.5" white wall. I also painted the rims to match the body, I think it looks a little better that way. Anyway, here's the results.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Yes I like that! Good looking car. Question: is that a factory two tone set of colors? Thanks.

The change is dramatic, are the WW's a taller tire. Great looking ride.

Totally a different car now with whitewalls. Looked really drab with the blackwalls, now it looks terrific.

Funny how a little change can transform the whole car.

Looks great! Raised white letter tires throw off the look of a 50's car, this was a great change.

  16. Looks great, those Cali tires are a really good deal. Bud needed something quick for the street versus his pie crust for the back, he's going on his second season and alls good

Thanks, it's a factory 2 tone car but it's a repaint. The colors are close to original but not exact. It's gold and sunshine yellow.

  18. My brother in law had the same car, in the same color combo, so the answer is "yes".

I'm a Chevy guy myself but I always had a thing for the lines of the late 50's mopars. If I had the money I would have gone after a DeSoto or Plymouth but this will do just fine

Except for the shipping fees, the tires aren't a bad price. I'm out in NJ so I had to fork out another $100 just to get them across the country.

    Hi Jim,

I set of Goodyear Viva 2's that Calli cut out a section of black wall and volcanized a 2.5" white wall .

    Thanks,
    Sam
