A friend of mine has a '41 Hudson & is looking for a good chrome plating facility. I've heard of one in Quincy Il., Canton? Ohio, & supposedly one in Texas. Do any of you have any recommendations on a good shop? Thanks in advance, Rod

Remember, though, "good chrome" is expensive.
And if your friend has to ask for recommendations, then he probably has no idea *how*expensive.

I went to the Autorama in Detroit in 08 ... A lot of the chrome there was done by Advanced Plating.
ALL of their work was beautiful.

I used JR Custom Plating in North Branch, MN for all of the pot metal on my '62 Merc Montery project. The results were fantastic, especially since some of the pieces resembled swiss cheese after the first stripping.

Wow! Thanks guys, for all the replies. I'll pass those on to my friend and also keep the notes for myself. Thanks again, Rod

I used Bills Chrome in Jeannette, PA. Show quality chrome and guarantees his work. Not cheap!

Paul's Chrome has a good rep, too. There are lots of threads here on chroming. They all conclude a quality chrome job will cost a lot and will take a lot of time-more time and more money than you expect.

AIH Chrome in Dubuque, IA is fantastic. When I needed the chrome for my chopper in 2005, they delivered. Bike was in a magazine a couple of months later. Beyond impressed.
