Hi All, I searched the boards and my 1953 Body, Trim and Sealant ***embly manual and haven't found a solution to removing the stainless trim that continues from the dash. It looks like metal tabs are folded over after inserting but I can't get anything in to unfold. I'm thinking to grind the top of the fold off and rebend the tabs after repainting. If anyone knows a better way, I'd appreciate it. I thought thriftmaster was asking the same thing but I looked at the pictures of his merc and it doesn't have this piece so I guess he was asking about the outside stainless trim. Thanks
Ron53Sunliner, Just an Idea, but I think you just Turn the Tab 90 degrees or 180 degrees & it will Fit thru the Hole. Check the Length of the Tab & the Hole Size that you can See on each Side of the Tab or on the other Side. Jim
