I just bought this 51Ford out of Dallas Texas. It's got radiused wheelwells, a one piece tilt front end, frenched headlights, straight axle, recessed firewall, etc... The old paint is barely visible but you can still read the names "Benny Jackson and Raul Smith". It also has a painted address of 1525 Bessie St, Arlington Texas which is right next to the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club's headquarters. The ***le is no help as the last owner had no history on the car. Anybody recognize it or the names on it?
I've got a stroked 1958 Lincoln 430 with six dueces and a B&M Hydro that I plan to put in this. I've also got cheater slicks and wheels already so it SHOULDN'T be too big of a project.
Is it an illusion, or is the scoop offset to the drivers side? If so, it was probably a six, so you may be looking for info on a car running AHRA H/MP or NHRA H/G. Edit: just noticed it has a recessed firewall, so not AHRA MP.
I'd really like to hunt down an old picture of this car. Anybody know of any dragstrips around Arlington Texas or any long time racers there?
