Is there anything out there that is compatible with a stock 1934 steering column/box - possibly a 1953/56 F100 or something similar in size? Later steering would obviously be better and also easier to obtain parts for a rebuild, so has anyone found a replacement that would work in an otherwise stock type setting? Thanks

I'm using a 40 ford column and switch on a vega box. Haven't got it in the car yet.

To those that have used the Vega steering box, did you convert to a cross steer drag link or somehow modify something to work with an original style drag link? What were the issues with mounting the box - good & bad - and what did you do for the steering column connection. Thanks

  6. Jeep. As in Willys Overland jeep. They are repoped or you can still find them, simple columns and they work real well. They didn't change them from the war until the redesign in the mid '60s

Here's a ****py pic of a '62 they plug right into the steering box like an old Ford.
