Whoa nelly! Brake failure

Rear line just blew on the 53. Lost all brakes. I should be getting my new pedal ***y tomorrow, dual m/c will go on this weekend. single m/c ****s!

luckily there is alot of landscaping along JoCo curbs. Oops. Sorry about yer shrubbery.

While you are at it make sure you check all your brake lines and wheel cylinders. Also flush out your lines so you have all new fluid, and make sure you have the correct residual valves if you are using an under-floor master.

The only thing not new is that line. As of Saturday I hope to have hanging pedals.

 

Replace ALL the other lines while you are at it.

 

turns out the line unscrewed itself from the t. tightend er up, topped off the fluid, made it home. I ain't driving again till i have a dual done.

 

while i'm at it i'll use the new brake lines

 

Give that man a cigar! I'm amazed at how many of us will spend countless hours -- not to mention actual cash money -- on our rides and yet risk it all, as well as our and others' lives on single circuit brake systems from the 40's-50's.
