My friend just bought a 40 Ford 2 door sedan. We are picking it up Sunday March 5th. We are leaving from Chicago area and picking it up in Toledo. Just wanted to see if there are any fellow HAMBers along that route that I could call on in a pinch??? We have to use a float to bring it home, that is what is giving me a little concern. I used a float to bring a 70 fastback Mustang home fromItaly TX. years ago so I'm familiar with it, but you just never know. The guy says the tires are good and it's got a 10 bolt GM rear and no engine/trans. If you don't mind lending a hand if I get in a bind, just PM a number. I will only call on you if I really need to. Dont know of many people along interstate 80.. I live in Streamwood, we are practically neighbors, actually i think we may have met once at barington cruise night or at woodfire. It's true.. a bunch of us will be in Detroit.

I'm in Toledo,I'll be in Detroit all day Sat.Just curious as to where the car is,my mother in laws cousin has one in her garage,thought is was made of gold!We missed two vintage Honda Elsinores from trhe same garage though.Dont know what help I could be but P.M. me if you need anything.
Just a thought, but you can rent a car trailer from U-Haul or Route 12 Rental for something like $75 for the day. I used one when I picked up my Model A last spring and it worked out great.
