Anybody on the HAMB that has a speed shop or custom shop open tomorrow? I might stick around til Monday. Is there any car show or small get together's I should stop by and see? Lets here a good place to eat. I like a bar and a BBQ. Don't make me go to Gas money Garage. Thanks for the input. Tony
DON'T give in and go to GMG Bar & Grill. I'm not sure what part of Dallas you're in, but check and see if you're near a Hard 8. Great BBQ and it won't break you.
Agree with Hard 8 if your out by the DFW airport - are you more by downtown Dallas ? On Mockingbird at Harry Hines is a nice resale shop Texas Classic Auto's always has a wide variety of rides with a back lot/fence area that has some cool stuff....currently a nice 1958 Chevy Wagon Sonny Bryant's BBQ is right down the street at Inwood and Harry Hinds....
Plan on renting a car then,, DFW is miles from most points in Dallas...and a taxi would be cost prohibited.
Well, if it's anywhere in the area, I'd strongly suggest The Smoke Pit in Ft. Worth. It's close to downtown Ft. Worth and not too far from the airport. You can thank me later.
I know a guy who had a 3 hour layover a DFW and decided to rent a car to look around. He drove for an hour trying to find the way out of the airport before stopping to drop the car off and found that he was at the rental center at the other end of the airport.
Engine man I feel his pain. Took me about a half hour to get out. I also found out they don't sell whiskey on Sunday's. Still thirsty. Car show was good.
Yes sir Smoke Pit,Don't be scared when you pull up ,Looks better when you walk thru the door,Right DFWDenny?
Sho nuff!!! We really need to get something going over there. The wait staff always seems eager to pose with quality vehicles. That place will bring the carnivore out of you.
I was thinking of flying into DFW for Lonestar.........might consider Houston instead if it's that bad!!
Been there a couple times I like to visit the Stockyards in Ft. Worth too. Coming down probably in may as My brother lives there.
