Hot Rods An Auto Transport quote search heads-up!

WOW... Did a search for auto transports, got some random site, so popped in my info, gottah start somewhere...
Of course my email then gets inundated with "quotes" from shippers that Consumer sites don't even list. Each of the "shippers" claims to be the ONLY real quality shipper, and the rest are scammers.
So I'm thinking the heck with this approach I'm just going to set all these "shipper quotes" as spam and use the Hamb and other enthusiast sites to search for a shipper....
So...
I just got a call from one of the "shippers" and I quote " You just rejected my email as spam, after you contacted me you F*cking *****.... " click... I obviously contacted a middle man who sent out the quote request to every guy who may or may not have a trailer... niiice!

 

The HAMB has several reputable shippers.Easy peesy.

He doesn't even know how to spell F@cking!

 

They are brokers and not shippers. They will never let you rest. Don't ask how I know.

The HAMB shippers may be fine is you live somewhere with nice pleasant weather, but if you don't, you'll need to keep looking. I had good luck with Gold Coast Auto Transport. They're brokers (nearly all are), but did me fine....

 

I have used Uship.

 

There are 3 QUALITY transporters here on the Hamb: BenD, Racinman Rick & Myself, we all have ads in the Hamb O Dex section where you can see hundreds of references from other Hambers. I personally go plenty of places that do not have great weather. Clearly Crazy Steve is still mad because I do not go across the Northwest mountains p***es during the winter months, even though I apologized to him in a previous thread.
Please keep in mind though all three of us are always in demand & are booked weeks in advance.

 

I have also, 6 times last year and very satisfied with every transaction.

 

Uship is hit or miss, its private parties and your recourse if they mess up is limited. Good for smaller stuff sometimes, I wouldn't trust them with a car.

 

Better stick with the guys from the Hamb. It may not happen tomorrow, but hast really makes waste. I'd rather wait a little longer and have total peace.

 

There are a lot of people hauling cars ...

Some of them carry no insurance

I made that mistake too. You're pretty much going to have to change your phone number, email address, name, and move before you get any peace and quiet from those relentless brokers.

 

Once you tell them you've shipped your vehicle they stop calling. Unfortunately you will have to tell a bunch of people. The word gets out the brokers list gets updated and they stop.....

 

On my way now from Dallas to Cleveland with this 1969 Super Bee ...
