This thread is a year old and ended up with some cars that could go altered or modified but it is what it is I suppose. http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/gas-and-fuel-altereds-rules-and-pics.971509/ Oh I meant to say thanks for bringing it up there cannot be too many threads specifically for altered as far as I am concerned. They always floated my boat. Here is a recent thread started by @Roothawg but it pertains more to those building and or maintaining one now: http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/how-many-altered-owners-out-there.998020/
Joe Williamson from Louisville KY, in his E/A. Joe made many V-8 drivers cry with this 6-cylinder machine.
Is that a Pantera body? I always get those old bullet bodies confused. I thought I had posted this pic of the fly bit I could be mistaken so I'll post if again.

Ok never heard this about willie something new every day LOL. Not my story................... "The strangest aspect of the Wild Willie legend: his narcolepsy. Childhood friend and crew chief Al “Mousie” Marcellus recalls having to bump Willie’s car to wake him up in the staging lanes and twenty blinks later he was going over 200 down the quarter-mile. His narcolepsy also meant Marcellus frequently had to double check Willie’s mechanical work on the cars as he often fell asleep in the middle of the work and forgot where he left off." Now onto more willie photos.
