there were two '65 cyclone four-speed cars in my town when they were brand new. one was resale red and the other one was mile-deep black. i wanted one then and still would like to have one.
some one from here has it locked up I guess and trying to decide how to pay and doesnt trust the internet or something, I will pay asap if he will just let me know but I am waiting on the other hamber
Dragrcr50 I'm flying up to pay him and get the ***le and have arranged with BenD to bring it to Mississippi. I'll be looking for that yellow Mustang HO that used to pick on my GMC truck! LOL
Oh great Dammit, I'm third in line on this. Put this deal **** together Sunday Night. I ask guy for his number and try to get this rolling and now this. This is the second car in two nights that I am getting stuffed on. 63 nova today and now this. He said he would call me if you pie in the skies don't pony up. Anybody gets out of line on the rest of this post, I'm pulling a power trip, so don't piss me off. If if you think I'm kidding - go ahead and make my fukking day !!!!!! Cob Forum Moderator I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER I WANT THIS CAR
Good for you Judd. Before you put that on Ebay, CALL ME so I don't have to bid against the world. And don't say never cause it has happened to me on 3 cars now in the last 3 weeks. 2 of them were bought of the H.A.M.B. in the last 2 months. You bet your sweat bippy I am a little edgy. I aint no pie in the sky guy............tried to pay right then via bank transfer but i was second in line. I have bought over 300 on line and dont wait around..........if i miss it Ill buy another one...........
That was the word the seller used. "If these guys are pies in the skies I will call you" Per his Email Well I have tried personally for 3 not 300, I ain't no dealer. (300 cough-cough) Cob Forum Moderator
thats kool , I have and I am........... 4 this week.........just what I do ... and I didn't **** in on the other hamber, I won't do that .. but I have had it done to me, have a nice day , sorry
Yes I've missed about 5 lately it's upsetting when it hapens but something else always seems to come along.
For guys who personally like to play with them/ tinker with them/ polish them and stroke them it takes a bit longer then 10 minutes to cool off. I made the mistake of showing my 15 year old and he had in a New York minute made plans for summer cruises with dear old Dad. For dealers, it's just another number to leverage to the next number. It really isn't a car, it's a paycheck. That's the dealer life. Drgrrcr50, it's cool on not jumping in as you'll find something at the auction tomorrow to go on, I understand. Same for you Judd - it's cool, have fun for ever how long you'll have it. Let me know how it goes, if you know what I mean. Cob Forum Moderator
I understand and I am building me a new driver as I do about every year. I do every bit of it myself and i enjoy it and i sell it and i build another already have a 40 willys pickup in the wings to do after the biscayne , dont think i just buy and sell i do that for part of my living as well as the hot rod shop. so i do truly understand and if i shoud ever come between you and anothe r deal just let me know ..........all i ask is if i do back out or help out may it not be for another to profit ...........I still think there is somewhat of a brotherhood here and i am trying my best to be a part of that family if you will.................later sam.....
That's cool sam. I would hate to think there are H.A.M.B. brothers here that just use the H.A.M.B. cl***ifieds as a income source only vs. living the H.A.M.B. life of cars/brotherhood and helping guys out, because they want to and not just to make a buck. If I see cars on the H.A.M.B. for sale that get bought and show up on Ebay a week later, I say **** it, have the original guy sell it on Ebay. Who is doing anyone any favors. So note it and watch the trend to see if is happening weekly. After all, we are trying to help our fellow H.A.M.B.'rs with a good deal and not take advantage of them aren't we ? While no one can dictate what a person does with the car after they bought it, this is too small of a world for the word to get out. You know, like at swap meets, the same dealers who jump your damn truck before you stop, so they can try to scalp a part, only to put it in there booth 20 minutes later. We all know them at your local swap meet. You only do business with them once to find out and then you walk by them for all the remaining swap meets. You wanna see some ******* in a bunch, just have two dealers trying to sell to each other....it's like a camp out where there is only one sleeping bag left and you have to share it with your X-Wife who took half of your money and you had to sell your cars to pay her off. It don't friggin sing if you know what I mean. Cob Forum Moderator
Cob, Dont worry, you're getting ready to score big!! All things happen for a reason. This **** always happens to me. But I seem to get a happy ending. My latest: I move out to the desert in Phoenix and the roads out where I'm at ****. So I had some cash layin around and wanted to buy one of them tricked out Pre Runner trucks. Well I find one that has 15K in trick suspension parts for 12K. I thought I sealed the deal and was getting ready to go pick it up and the jackhole stopped returning my calls. He sold it to someone else for more money. A month later I found and bought a steel 40 Willys coupe. Never would have been able to swing it if I had bought that truck. Hang in there bro.
Hello to all. Im the current owner of the Comet and have much enjoyed the conversation. To those who said nice things Thanks. To those who offered to buy Thanks again. Judd was the first to say Ill take it, about an hour before Dragrcr50. Fairness said that Judd gets it. Hes coming up on the 15th to close the deal. If he does a walk-around and changes his mind, well, Ill be emailing Sam. I dont think that will happen. When I posted the $7700 price in was suppose to be a two week window for the guys on The Ford Falcon News site who had helped upgrade my Ford knowledge (and on occasion expressed interest in the A/FX looking project). If they didnt hit on it I planned on the eBay route with the reserve at $7700. Then some one forwarded the link. You know the rest. Anyway Im happy that (one way or another) its going to wind up with someone who will cruise the street and bang the shifter now and again. BTW, the term is "Blue Sky" as in dreamer.
Judd, AND before you put it on Ebay or decide to sell, please call me first. I would really like this for a father/son adventure if that would not be too much to ask. My son is into turbo's and superchargers and this is the first old school (g***er) car that he flipped out on. I showed it to him and told him I made contact with Jim with cash in hand to get it bought, but late to the line. He is bummed to say the least, so Judd PLEASE call me. I sent you some PM's with no luck but hope you read this and keep me in mind. Thanks, Cob Forum Moderator
If anyone changes their mind, please contact me. This is the first car that my son wants a father son summer cruize time. Please let me know. Cob Forum Moderator
Oh yeah, that "bad as a *****" "65" G***er is MILES offbase from the 64 cutoff year here! Well, i'm happier than a *** with a bag full of ****s to see this thing. I just emailed the guy HOPING i'm not too late. So, thanks for sharing this bad*** car with us.
