Hi Auliz, I can't help thinking that a 3.25 will be a bit too tall for such a big vehicle. Especially with the big rear tyres you have already. It might be worth getting other people's opinions, but that sounds very tall to me.

    Thanks.

Panel is low budget built. 1500usd recrome parts, 1500usd other stuff, 1000usd 1936 cab.seat + new glasses, 200usd fenton sunvisor, 1000usd stuff for painting and basics. Panel buying price & 1800usd shipping to Finland. Have done all myself, and saved money.

Ring & Pinion; Maybe You´r right. 3.25:1 can be too low. I have test drive on the street. Goes easily 20-30mph middle of city and when drive on the highway 50-55mph (80-90kmh) engine is yelling like killing pig.

Harley Hauler; Need to test drive my 1953 panhead inside, if it fits there. Tomorrow we are back home and I start to built MC. It looks terrible (built in Germany 80´s-90´s) and I do only fast 2weeks rebuilding. Good thing is that it still have orig. frame (lowered), engine, tranny, wheels, drumbrakes.

Finally Panel delivery ready. Spare wheel painted and found one old deluxe hub cap on it.

Finnish old style black/white lic.plates arrived.

We have used panel daily, works good and many have asked to buy it,...

  6. Nice panel! I might make an offer on this one in a year or two. Not sure if he would sell or not. He's owned it since the 60's. :)

Thanks. Looks good and same yearmodel.

I found from google some information concern Ford light duty trucks.
I wonder why some 1940 Ford trucks/panels have Basic hood and grill, some have that wider (deluxe)?

  8. The one I posted is a 1/2 Ton Commercial. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Looks that body, fenders, hood, doors, runningboards etc are same. Difference is Hood rims, headlight rims, hood emblems.

Pinstaipers are so hurry this time year, so,..... I made straips myself. Not professional work, but ok for me.
It was first time for me and I used beugler.

Also painted Ford letters in hood trim. Same blue colour than Ford emblems hood sides and used same colour in straips.

Panel Delivery works fine. EAB engine works great, next winter I bolt on M-40 McCulloch supercharger on it.
4.4 ring & pinion is too high for highway use. Need to change it next winter. I have 3.25:1 R&P waiting for installation,....

Few pics took in Finland´s National Guard Museum yard.

    Thank You Sir.

I had plan to change Panel Delivery´s Ring & Pinion during this winter,....but
I have been 3weeks very bad condition. Influenze has push me down.
Panel is ready for hard use and I keep it like it is.

Cabriolet 21bolt Flathead is opened and need to rebuilt twin plug engine before snow is going.
days are going longer. after 1month cars need to be ready for season.

40 to 41 panel trucks hood chrome depends on the year,, 40 had the 'normal' narrow the 41 had the wide chrome
Now sedan deliveries were car based and they 'normally' came standard but you could order a deluxe and they were easy to change in the last 75 years.

I agree. I have liked all of my life station wagons and panel vans. My 2nd street race car was 1967 chevy nova Stw (80s). Now big "elephant" fords number one.
