    Hello all,
I have converted my '46 Ford from 6 to 12 volt and I hope I have taken all the right steps to do so. My question is; After installing a 12 volt reducer for my gauges will they still need to be Pos ground? Someone told me he did a conversion 6 to 12 and forgot about the gauges and all of them pegged the opposite direction.... He said had a hell of a time getting the smoke back inside the wire harness!

whether it's 6, 12, 20, 1000 volts, the ground stays the same, in your case, positive. You can switch to Negative ground but I'm not a Ford lover so I would do a search. I'm sure there's plenty of info on switch your FoMoCo from pos to neg ground.
