I am looking for a floor engine cover for my 53 and wondering if the earlier 40s was the same as I can possibly get one of those. Any advice?
Post a picture of your "holes" with a tape measure and I will check mine for you in a couple days supposed to be another "BIG" storm and gotta get a NV-4500 to the shipper to go to TX Tuesday.
John I may be able to hook you up on the covers, I think I still have mine from my '47 Chevy COE. I'm not sure if their the same but I would think so. Mine where in good shape with all the covers and doors in tact. $30 plus shipping sound fair? Rob
Your photo appears to be the same model as mine. I would be very interested in giving yours a try. Please contact me at ourgarden@veroom.net for further correspondence. THANK YOU!
Here are the measurements: width including side flanges = 11" flat distance along bottom = 23" slope distance up firewall = 8"
Figured out the membership process and added a picture of the project. Truck is in overall great shape for the year. Credit goes to the Montana Fish and Wildlife for keeping it in great condition. Broken door gl*** and cracked rear window, pin holes in fuel tank, wiring terminals corroded, BUT IT DOES RUN!! Here are the measurements of the engine cover needed.: width including side flanges = 11" flat distance along bottom = 23" slope distance up firewall = 8"
