    Simply outstanding series of photographs. I really like the one from the Toronto archives. I suspect that photo was taken during the Canadian National Exhibition. There has been a long history of air shows at that event. Lots of race cars ran there as well, the very first one was an exhibition run by Barney Oldfield in the Green Dragon.

    Well, it could be worse. At least it's not on those stupid four-foot tall chrome rims with the two-inch thick piece of rubber for a tire on all four corners.

  10. AAAAHH! Up until the late sixties, this was not that uncommon!
    I remember entire field of early iron.
    Don't know how old this pic actually is, but it captures a time gone by quite well.
