Here's mine: 1950 Packard model 23. Just getting started, plans call for Chevy 355/TH350, Camaro front disc brakes, bags in the front, blocks in the rear. Just a fun cruise night car!
I unfortunately don't have a car right now, but should within a couple months and I have been looking for a 4 door. Everyone is like "nooo, you don't want that." But I love the 4 doors. I'm looking at 49-54 Chevys. And they are sexy no matter how many doors.
Here is my 51.back doors are shaved.it's a work in progress.used to have a black roof.but i painted it red metal flake.

I wouldn't......that was a very popular treatment in the late 50's and early 60's. Your car looks very good, love it.
Thanks I really appreciate it. I feel like with the rears shaved it's trying to hide the fact she's a four door.
And I love me some baby Lincoln's...a buddy of mine has one he's trying to sell and I'd buy if I could afford it lol...
Got any period pictures to back that up? I'm not saying it's not true, but I can't say that I've seen it done outside of the last 20 years.
There are actually quite a few in the little mags with only the rear handles shaved. That is not a current thing...
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/shaved-door-handles-in-the-fifties.545953/ It was around...
I had a moredoor shoebox for 10 years, it was a great car. I have no problem with 4 doors, but nothing says "I really wish I didn't have a 4 door" like shaving only the rear handles. Whether guys did it in the '50s or not, it still looks lame. Leave them on or shave them all.
