    What type of glue to use when glueing mat to running board ? Ron in Mich mrnimtz46@gmail.com
     
  2. My Vintique mats came with contact cement and that's what I used. Worked as it should but be sure to use as directed.

    I used regular vinyl top contact adhesive, well, I mean my buddy who owns a trim shop did.:cool:

    Windshield adhesive from NAPA. Contact cement can loosen in weather and start peeling. Vinyl top may be fine too, don't know.
     
  5. I went to the floor store , they sold me the stuff they use on commercial stair runners. Has been on there many years.I cant remember the name of it, but a good place to check. I like to buy stuff from real people, that way if there's a problem, you have a name and face to talk to later. that's just me. Ron...

    My Vintique mats were installed with contact cement (they supplied) . They have been on for about 19 yrs or so and no peeling.

    There's a guy on the ford barn who claims the gasket maker called "the right stuff" is the way to go,after squeezing some out and letting it set up,I think he may be right!

    I agree with windshield adhesive. It certainly does not permeate with moisture and it does not shrink back in severe heat like we have in Texas.
