Has anyone here found an electric pusher fan which fits in the tight space between a 32 radiator and the grill insert?
Theres only 2" space in the center and 1 1/2" towards the edges.
I'm thinking the Motor would have to be in the fan hub to make it possible.
    Thanks for any tips.

This shows that it can be done, I rarely use it though. Sorry that I don't have a better pic. DSCN2687.JPG

I use two 10" pushers, one on top of the other. They fit and work perfect in traffic, in 95 degree Florida. image.jpeg

I managed to fit a 14" SPAL pusher fan in between the radiator and the grill insert and I think I could get the 16" version in there. Have a 16" in the shed which I will be trial fitting when the paint on the insert is cured. My fan has a thermal switch and rarely comes on but I live in the country.

    Pusher fans restrict airflow.

Look at the new cars, several use pusher fans.

Some modern cars may use pusher fans, but probably more due to making for quicker ***embly when the car is being built, or simply because there is no room for a fan available behind the radiator. On the other hand, lack of room behind the radiator would probably be the reason to want a pusher fan in a '32 too.
A fan in front of the radiator DOES impede airflow into the radiator a bit, so it's not an ideal solution. But "ideal" is rarely an option when you are working with a 85 year old car, there won't be a big diffrence between a pusher fan and an equivalent ****ing fan behind the radiator. I'd prefer a ****ing fan and a good shroud, but sometimes we just have to live with a compromise.

"No"?? That's it? Sometimes there are no other reasonable options. I have the same Spal fan rated at 1800 cfm. That's gonna have to work or I start looking for the "unreasonable" options!

Puller fans with shrouds are BY FAR more efficient and don't junk-up the looks of your radiator. Gary

I've decided to go with a mechanical fan because there's just enough room for a 14" and it looks more traditional.

^ You should still build a shroud for it. Gary
