    Roadster 36,
I am new to this site. I have a brand new 997A SW tach, I purchase them in 1976. My question is: what Ignition system do they work with. I contacted SW and Carlo, told me they were discontinued, and he couldn't find a print on them. I sumize that there isn't anyone at SW that has any knowledge of gauges that SW made in the day.

If you can help with info I would appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Mike at Street Performance

This is the page out of the SW catalog.
It says: "Operates with exotic ignition systems."

My friend has one that he has used on a capacitive discharge ignition and currently with a Pertronix conversion.

    Thanks ED,
I don't know if coil on plug is exotic or not, but in the 70's I guess coil on plug would seem exotic.

    thanks again for the response

I am using the same gauges for a panel I am building for my Corvair. Does anyone have the installation manual PDF's or a link to them? I need to set the tach for a 6cyl and I want to make sure I wire everything up correctly.

I did download the brochure that was in an earlier post.

    Thanks,

    Keith

I have a full set of Stage III gauges in my Sedan Delivery. Just recently the "0 to 7,000" tachometer has gone flaky. Does anyone know or have a reliable contact that can refurbish my tachometer? I really don't want to replace the tachometer with something else that does not match the set. I have just gotten of an E-Mail to this address [georgiapeddler@bellsouth.net ]but the last previous post was way back in May of 2013 so they may no longer be in business.

Any & all help is appreciated

Ciscobath (or anyone) I'm trying to locate a wiring diagram for the old Stewart Warner Stage 3 gauges. Particularly: Amp/Oil Press/Speedo (Mech)/Fuel/Water Temp. Can anyone be of help?

As I recall, everything was pretty standard SW for hookup.

Has anyone found the instructions for the oil temp and pressure SWIII gauges. I sure could use a copy.

My oil pressure gauge shows continuity between what I think is the 12vdc+ and the sender post (gauge not connected in car). Does this sound like a defective gauge?
Any suggestions for testing it (without sender in circuit)?

Thanks in advance to anyone who wishes to help.

Yeah...I was afraid I did it correctly. Looks like my oil pressure gauge bit the dust. Thanks all for the help. Anyone know where I might find another one?

Thanks to all for helping me ID my SW gauge pack in my Mustang and thus my joining this cool forum! I am in need of new SW speedo 550-EZ(T2?) as mine is bouncing all over the place and the odo is clicking. I tried contacting Price but unfortunately the kind woman who answered phone number listed above informed me that he p***ed away a year ago. RIP Price...
If anyone has a line on one please let me know or if you have any tips to getting mine to perform properly even better!
