I need to get an OAKLAND sedan rolling so I can get it home. It has a six bolt wheel, holes are 6 inches on center across from each other and 3 inches on center side to side. Is there something out there that would match up? sure would save the time of finding 5:25-18 tires. Thanks!
You might try and see if Chevy 3/4 ton 6 lug rims will work or the old 6 lug Dodge Power wagon truck wheels .
The six lug Chevy wheels are six on five and a half. The only thing I can think of would be the Bud wheel found on one ton Studebaker and some of the older Internationals and a few military trucks and these wheels might be six on six and a half. Sorry I can't give an exact measurement, I no longer have any of this type of wheel around. Good Luck
There are some six lug by 6" implement wheels out there. Also Fergeson tractor front wheels, and I think some Allis used them too.
I'm sure you know how to measure the wheels,as stated some tractors have 6 lug front wheels, but don't know about 6 on 6" . Try this site posted by (Atch) http://www.roddingroundtable.com/tech/articles/boltpat.html All the 6 lugs are 5&1/2" bolt circle, but that may be the way they are measured(center to center--center to edge-- or whatever) Maybe the chart will help---Let's see the car
Not too rough........from one Oakland fan to another. If I was closer I'd help ya get that home......or make you an offer. I think Pontiac from the same year is your best bet. Good luck and keep the photo's coming.
