I figured since my build is moving along, I'd start a thread to open up conversation and exchange tips and tricks. 1954 sunliner with 56 t bird 292 95 mustang t-5 world cl*** 95 mustang 8.8 rear end narrowed to 55.5 15x7 front 15x8 back Thanks to Jeffb2 and everyone with this family of fine cars, my build would be impossible thanks again. In case your wondering the rest of the car is in the rafters.
Ch***is looks great! Can't wait to see the rest of the car. How do you like those headers so far? I almost bought a set for my build. Still thinking about it but waiting for some feedback from people that have ran them.
No lie, those headers look cool, but we're a ***** to put on, I had to chamfer a mounting hole and they come with Allen fasteners, no room to swap out with a bolt and very tight to get on, I made an the Allen key about 1/2 in length to get in there.
That is gonna be sooooo sweet! Love the power plant you are using and the color on it. No brand "X" here. Big work ahead of you, but it was in more pieces when new! Have you set the body on the ch***is to get tire clearance? I want to put 8" wheels on mine too
I didn't bother to check any clearances, there's so much welding to do I said screw it, wheel tubs and easy tire changing, although if I could do it over I'd went an inch wider on both sides, the weld bead from narrowing interferes with the outside u bolt
I have seen 56 olds taillights over the years.this looks like they used a section of the olds rear 1/4s .from pics looks well done and very different
Section of olds quarter and 57 Chevy wheel well, 55 Chevy conti kit and bumpers, it's a real frankenford
when finished I am sure you will not hear so and so had one just like that.looking forward to the finished build
