So true! BUT when you really think about it (and I do, I work on cars from many decades) the things we did in the 40's looked dated in the 50's. Wide whites and cool hubcaps were dated when Radirs, and pinwalls came out in the 60's. Watson's outrageous paint jobs were dated in the 70's.
Just being on the HAMB means WE are dated. Not always a bad thing!
Oh, periwinkle, think Robin's egg blue with a hint of purple and gray.

Inspiring information - I'm still saving my pennies (or hundred dollar bills more likely) while I figure out what I want to do but I was just exploring my options. I talked to a guy the other day who drives a metallic gold Camaro. I thought it might have been hydrodipped somehow but of course it turned out to be vinyl. A bit too flashy for my tastes but it did open up some possibilities.

I have a new one to add to tis thread. I purchased a banjo wheel from Juliano's and after mock up was complete I returned it for a little hydro-printing. I included my shift knob so they would look cool side by side. Just got them back and they look fantastic. They had sent me the wood grain samples so I could chose a color wood that would compliment the top and interior colors I have selected. This is Walnut. Juliano's rock!

  4. Oh yes. That does look good. What kind of turn-around time did they give you?

I sent it to them 2 weeks ago. Already back. Great people to work with. Since I was customizing the shift knob anyway they called and suggested taking the coin ribbing off the knob so that the wood grain would look nicer. I agreed and now I have a nice one-off shift knob.

They said if I have other needs just box it up and they will match it up. You cant beat the service.
