Marty at Northwest Speed sent out some parts for me last Friday and said I should get the Monday or Tuedsay. Well they were sitting on the porch yesterday. Polished Valley Pan and fuel log. The Nailhead is gonna have some detail now. Said my valve covers should leave out Friday after polishing. I know there have been alot of complaints about MArty but he has never done me wrong on anything. And until he does I will trust him. And for future business he still offers a 10% Hamb discount. Just wanted to give a positive shout out to some good comunication and positive transactions through Northwest Speed. Thanks MArty.
And Dirty sent me the bellhousing just like he said he would. This way you 322 guys will get a bellhousing and flywheel soon. Thanks
Marty where are my 94's???? and Linkage.....and top plate????? Bustingear - pickerington, OH I know you are sick but cripes
Ya l know l phoned him at the shop yesterday. His partner in crime, said he took the day off because he was sick. l always new he was sick mentally, but l didn't know he physically was. l got my blower top with some of my linkage.???? l know l will get it on day.lol
I had Marty do my Rochesters and I'm very happy with the quality. It took a while to get them back but I think the problem was more with the post office than Marty and I must say he was very good about calling me and trying to resolve the problem. My progressive linkage is from him too and it's very nice.
I didn't take any pics (yet), but I know that quite a few HAMBers did... I will post some soon if nobody beats me to it! But... Let me take a moment to say a couple of things here... First: I checked the tag, and UPS shows these parts shipped Friday (Marty was shipping them out late Thursday, so that makes sense). They were shipped UPS "3Day Select". They arrived on Thursday, just like the UPS tracking info said they would... How in the hell does Friday to Thursday add up to 3 days?!? So, Marty got the parts to me in what should have been enough time, but UPS dropped the ball. And second: If any of you have a SBC, you REALLY need to check out the EELCO valve covers NW Speed has; They are super nice! They cleared my aluminum roller rockers with no trouble at all, but I think you might be pressing your luck if you tried to squeeze a stud girdle under them. Anyway, mine are the first pair of these I've seen on a car, and they RULE! Thanks again Marty! Sorry UPS is dumb.
cause union guys get paid the big bucks to work weekends. . . i have had shit sit for a weekend in one facility (on the UPS tracking website) for a weekend before it starts moving again
Even if it DID sit there all weekend... Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday... It still doesn't add up to THREE!
So call UPS customer service, give them the numbers and insist on a refund. Should be fun. They were probably gone all weekend racing the truck.
This is the only pic I have but we are all waiting to see them on hot rod to hells '55 gasser! No staggered pattern.
Marty, how much is the 3 hole EELCO fuel block? BTW, re your last PM. When I get my flywheel and it all fits up and works like it should I will not only let you know how bitchin it is, I'll tell everyone. Pete
Have no experience with mail order purchases from NW SPeed, but Marty was a good host when I came to visit. Was in town for a race and drove out to the shop by recommendation of HAMB'r. He was gracious enough to show me around and BS for a little while. The crew at the shop does some incredible work/fabrication. Gave me the HAMB discount on some Tee's for the folks back home. Ya' only get one chance for a first impression. When I install "trips" on the Olds', you can bet that I'll be gettin' my linkage from him. JT
So you ordered some parts, and you got them... Doesnt seem that remarkeble to me. Thats just the way it should be. Countless companies send their parts out on time, every day... So why this Thread? Disguised Spam?
How does the saying go? Something like I screwed the last guy so I can give you a better deal. He still has a few hundred bucks of my money that I paid him for his cobby work so he can afford to build his PR with you guys.
