Check out what I picked up four months after the fall Springfield, OH swap meet. I met the previous owner there and really wanted this but didn't have the cash. I got his number and called him several days later and we talked it over and he said he'd take a little more then his original asking price to hold it. See, this was towards the end of November and I was scheduled to have surgery the week after Thanksgiving. Knowing I wouldn't have a solid paycheck coming in until the end of January, he said he'd sit on it. I got back from Cali last week, called him up and sure enough he still had it waiting for me. So I went up, paid for it and came home nine kinds of happy. This will look sweet on the SBC that's in my '34. I even found a set of 283 valve covers with the 290 HP stickers still intact. This set-up will complete the look. Anyway, I paid $300 for the set-up. It's a factory Chevy aluminum intake with Carter WCFBs on it. Sure they need to be rebuilt, but it's a start and I'm happy. How about I send you the first receipt for fuel after it's installed? Send me a Jonesy's tenderloin and I'll send you a better picture. Vance
I can talk to Lil John like that cuz he's my big brother, in several ways... That and if you even had a Jonesy's tenderloin, you'd want another one too. They're pretty damn good. Vance
A little inspiration. Nothing says late 50's high performance street engine like a dual quad set up. I think you stole it. Great find!
