Is the key the same for the glove box and the tailgate?
I have both locks, but not the keys and would like to take the glove box lock to a lock smith to get a new key made. Hopefully that key will fit the tailgate lock too.

They should be but who knows how many times the locks have been changed in 60 years.

I think the same key unlocks the doors also.

It has been 50 years, but I recall that the doors, trunk, and glove box used round key and the ignition only used the square key. Thank you for the confirmation.

Doors and ignition are the same key.

Typically, the ignition key also worked the doors while the trunk key also worked the glove box. Fords were like this for ages. If you don't have this combo, I good locksmith can key it this way.

I've got the original keys altough I use replicas. Key 1: Ignition, doors and glove box, key 2: trunk, key 3, gas cap.

Fords in general, round key: trunk, glove box. Square key, door and ignition. I may still wind up with 3 keys as I have a new trunk lock to install, or just a trip to my local lock guy.

On my car the entire trunk lock mechanism is missing, just another thing to scratch off my list eventually!

I lucked out and found a NOS one on eBay. Mine was so bad I would have shaved it off and installed a popper.
