You are correct! 15x8 "trick" with 2.25" b.s., is what they are called. Requires a rear approx. 53" wide.
Paul, I think you are a few years younger than me, but do you remember the first time you heard the term "trick"? I do! When Cragar came out with their "Super Tricks" about 1970/71, I vowed to some day own a set. Replaced the S/S Cragars on my race car with Super Tricks in 1977.
I still haven't had a set of Super Tricks. If I got some, they would have to have the original green tinged clear anodizing intact. I really had a hard-on for the magnesium Motor Wheel Flys...
I remember the term and the Cragars from approx. the mid-70's. I remember when the Jag rear was the "trick" set-up!
I recognized this car right away. I've always loved the rolled forward fenders and bobbed frame horns. I never noticed till I saw Chris' photo, the rear fenders are filled too. Man, what a beaut. REALLY like this car!
TB have you seen these?? And they are available with WWW's too, and in your neck of the woods. Or at least compared to how far I have to ship them...http://www.towelcityracingtires.com/Cheater_Slicks.html Needlouvers had a set of their pie-crusts, said the quality was excellent.
i haven't seen those, they are cool. i love the look of the pie crust and square edge of the tread. with white walls and on a full fender car it says "yes i am pretty, but i will kick your ass"
I mentioned this photo from TRJ earlier, its kinda cool because there are at least three cars in this photo that have already been posted on this thread.
This thread made me go set my car together just to see it with fenders. Now I can't decide if I like it more with or without them. Maybe I'll give it the ole switcharoo from time to time and enjoy it both ways.
With please! I found a good shot of another that I dearly love this morning. Dick Page's Deuce Tudor.
^^Hot damn, two of my favorites. I posted the later version of Lupe Serratos Tudor with the americans earlier, either version is a knockout. And Chip love the Haulin' Hauler, I have had that R&C since i was a kid, what a cool truck. I really love bobbed fenders.
