    I want to find a Bolt/stud or a Stud/Bolt.
Repeat, I am searching for some help to find a bolt/stud.
I had to make a bracket for my Cruise control and Throttle which I bolt to the intake bolts.
I would like to have a stud/bolt so I can keep the Intake manifold bolts tight if I have to take off my throttle bracket "hanger".

Your question is way too vague to answer. What engine are you talking about? What size bolt? I don't know about aftermarket...but I know that Chevy and Pontiac used a bolt with a stud on top for various reasons. Chevy at the water neck and Pontiac on the intake...

  3. cut the head off of a bolt the correct size and use it like a stud or either go to auto store and buy studs you need.

    It
It states right in the start of the thread.

Small block Chevy 350 intake manifold 1974 Chevrolet Caprice.
information is in the start of the thread. 350 Small block Chevy, intake manifold, 3/8-14.
I do not know what models or years used this type a bolt on the intake for the 3/8 application.
Cutting off a bolt is a OK idea and then using a nut to torque the intake down and then put on my bracket and another nut and tighten it.

Regular stud is no good as it has a separation in it from the course read to the fine thread .
    Oh yeah bolt is 3/8-16.
I called ARP and they suggested calling Allen's Bolts.Com.
Alan suggested a Allen bolt of the correct 3/8-16 size. That is a all thread piece with the Allen socket on the top with no head on it.
This way I can use that Alen bolt, put the sealer on it, thread it into the head, put the nut on it and torque that down to the manifold, then I have the excess thread on top of that nut. Then I put my bracket on and another nut and my problem is solved.

Wasn't there a thread on this the other day? Can't remember what the bolt stud thing is called though.

    Thanks Miller,
I see the stud there in the front right side. That could work. Is that a stock stud for that year? Pontiac? 1966?

That's a small block Chevy of some kind. Head out to a junk yard and look for early 80's Chevy cars and trucks. Most if them have a bolt just like the one in the pic above in the same spot on the intake. It was for the negative battery cable. Some have them there some don't. But they are on a ton of 80's gm V8s.

There are STOCK, SBC's that have a bolt with a stud to them, used for intake manifolds and A/C. I can't tell you just which ones, but maybe your local Chevrolet Dealership Parts Department can. Are there any Fastenal Stores or similar in your areas? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Strangely enough the Auto parts stores do not have access to a breakdown of the fasteners. I tried them guys. Napa, Auto Zone, Orielly's.
Miller from here has found some for me. Also others have pointed me to others available on line.

Looks like you have found the answer to your problem . If not flux capacitor regulator mount bolts on a Vincent , Black Shadow will work if you cut 1/4 inch off the block end [emoji15]!
