I didnt even know that they were having this show till this last Friday when Shundo pulled up behind us at Arby's, and asked me if i was coming? It turned out to be a great show with local clubs.... Vamp's, Wheel tramps, Lordsmen, Rod Tossers, Vagabonds and a few others showing their stuff off.

I sure can tell you about this truck, cause i drug it home "liturally!", from it's resting place about 30 minutes away from here! My buddy Jerry's brother had it in his yard and wasn't ding anything with it, but it already had a crude sub-frame grafting job done to it and the rest of the truck was in pretty bad shape.
We went out to get it in my old GMC P/U,
with the impression that it would be a quick hook up and tow job without any major glitches. WRONG! We found that the tires werent even pumped up, and two couldnt even hold air for more than 5 min. We looked around the yard and found a couple that were borderline so we put them on and piled everything that went with it in the back of the,( and i use the term loosly, "bed", and away we went.
One of the tires had obviously been sitting in one spot flat for a while because we were doing the watoosy down the road, and i think the hot desert road played a part in the demise of the first tire to go, and when it went it sounded like a shot gun going off. We slowly towed it about 3 miles before it was throwing rubber at our back window and decided to change it to one of the first ones.
Well, by some miracle once it was on and got rolling
it sealed and we pumped it up one more time and away we went
(still, doing a hulla dance down the road) The second tire blew about 15 minuets from home, and in a lot more less dramatic fashion than the first.
So we put the last available tire on, and this time we were not so lucky, and the tire didnt seal so we destroyed this one trying to get a little more milage out of it. I ended up watching the truck while Jerry drove back to his house and picked up ONE!, wheel and brought it back. We put it on and made home without anymore incedents after that besides being seasick from the rocking motion of the oblong tire that didnt blow! (My tow hitch would never be the same)
He started working on this truck almost right away
and did a little more sub-frame work, and rear kick in the frame. He didnt like the stock 46 front end, and found out that the 46 cab would except a 40 front end, so he started looking for one of those, couldnt find one on the cheap , so he decided to build a custom out of the original one.
Everyday i got home from work that front end
had been changed a little different till he finally liked
how it was shaping up and then went nuts with the mar-glass.
He moved to the West side of town so i didnt get to see it that often anymore but oneday i pulled into his place and that thing was draggin, painted
and done! It looked entirely different then the truck we dragged home! He was running a 283 with a 2/3 setup, and bags and that truck would do neverending burnouts. He drove it as his daily driver for a year back and forth down the hill, (LA area), and then he sold it to a Co worker. After that i never saw it again untill today.
It's not black and white, Its actually black and metalflake silver and done very tastefully may i add. So yes, i do know a little about that truck, but no i don't have anymore pics on it.
I'll ask Jerry if he can talk to the new owner and maybe get some more detailed shots. Thanks for readin. "hip"
