A few more photos would help, but does look like an F1 or Econoline spindle on a Total Performance axle?

C4UA sounds like a 64 Econoline part number

Perhaps you could show us the pictures you found, or describe what's different? It's possible your spindles were modified, but I really doubt anyone went to the trouble to forge an old Ford part number on them...????

The main thing is the 1" hole on the bottom

The hole for the steering arm? Pretty sure that's original on the old vans...Ford used that style of steering arm on trucks in the 50s, as well.

did you see this old thread on the HAMB? shows some econoline spindles being adapted to a different axle, they have the same hole for the steering arms.

    econoline spindles

Would anyone know what steering arm and tie rod would work with these spindles?

  9. Been many years; but I used trimmed Econoline arms, a modified early Ford tie rod, and a homemade "sling shot" steering arm on a '33.
