It was a Good Friday :D Joe was patient enough to show me how to shear and break some aluminum for a tunnel - its not Border Bandits league or anything but it's way better than the mess that was in there before o_O Thanks for the schooling Joe!

Heading to Paradise Dragway in the morning to do a shake down - literally - sweet old track - not very smooth - it should shake the car out pretty good.

    Looks good Tony.
Did I hear someone say that the race tomorrow is a no prep race if so you be careful on top end these things are bad enough on prepped tracks. You'll get to see what it was really like in the 60s LOL.

Looks good Tony. No prep tracks for us in Wisconsin are just the plain old asphalt roads. :D

I don't think Paradise ever does ant prep work. When I ran my Hiboy, BGII @ Union in '14 on the hard Coker bias ply WW, it spun, but was controllable.
But when I went to Paradise, I damn near hit the Xmas tree with a back tire cause it was so wild spinning off the line, spun all the way thru 1st, halfway or more in 2nd, and was trying to wheel hop in 3rd till I crossed the line.
I agree with Quain Tony, be VERY CAREFUL up there.
    The tunnel looks damn nice.

They don't advertise as no-prep but they probably should since that's so cool these days - BUT if they do say no-prep they need to put away the dust broom they have.;) My plan is to sort out the fuel injection and walk the swap meet.

Here are some pics for Joe - he schooled me on Cleekos

I could not live with out them. I found them in the late 1970's but I think they came out in the 1940's for war bird ***embly.

Paradise was a blast! Nice weather and lots of good friends. Made 4 p***es plus one p*** to blow the pollen off the track and see if the brakes worked ;)

Still in awe at Eds 55 - its runs as good as it looks.

The new engine is so much different feeling in the car now - the traction was not good at all so I was in and out of the gas a lot. Its weird because there were Mustangs on nitrous going 138MPH - no spin outs - don't know how they hook.

Thanks to Shawn (mac30) and vegaracechick for the videos. You know I set up the gopro to read the O2 sensor next to the tach to see if it is lean - but the camera was too far away to see it. Need to go back to the track again soon :)

DOM yeah that was Shawn The Hippie in the 56 Ford and Brad in the 31 Sedan.

Cole Photo did a great job on the pics

Agreed! Had two different sbc's that I rebuilt come back for oiling issues, damaged bearings etc. Compared both filters to a new one, something came apart inside and mostly blocked oil flow. Cost me two repairs on my dime. I used Wix filters after that, problem solved. I wouldn't use a Fram filter as a paperweight.
