The thing about them old Dodges, is that it really didn't get much uglier when it turned into a truck.

They did use wood to close it in, an it either needs a metal make over, or I need to get ahold of Geppetto

  16. I'm not a 'patina' fan, but this thing would be perfect with just a good cleaning, replace that wood cab back, and add a set of stock vintage wheels with poverty caps and four period-correct mud/snow tires for that 'Goin' to Town Off the Farm' look....

Make sure you (and your date) wear your clean bib overalls.. LOL!

  17. I like it. Even though the bed looks like shit. Mostly because it doesn't line up with anything and has the stake sides. Interior / dash is nice. Bet this turns out really cool.

There's a mid 50s Mopar home made wagon up the road from me, although I've never taken a close look at it. I think it's a nicer conversion than this one, but in worse condition from sitting outside.

  25. I hate to admit it, but there is something strangely appealing about it. Kind of like looking at a bad wreck on the side of the road.

Be sure to post some more pics after you hose it off and get rid of the stake sides and ladder racks. What kind of driveline has it got?

Wow....that is ....''different''!.........looking at it, I can ''kinda'' see a certain charm in it, but that area behind the cab needs cleaning up for sure. I think if some work was put into it, and made it more ''flowing'' body-wise, it would be more "okay"....certainly would cause a lot of discussion at a car show, or just on the casual drive to be sure. I would stop and look at it:D.....I can see a quirky something in it....I'll go with: ''unique''----and smile!---- Ray

That was a utility vehicle like back when grandpa couldn't afford a pickup, when they got a little tired and became a pickup for use around the farm . Cool

DSCN4696.JPG DSCN4697.JPG potential - yep, need to redo closure with metal - front and rear do not flow, obvious that there is a year gap - how about switching to a Fleetside bed, like from a '58 Dodge or Chevy??

Pondering, what if the enclosure was done in nice wood, , an veneered the doors, framed them out like a woody?, or put the bottle down? I do know a elder, That loves this kind of challenge..
