Lookin for interchange info on power steering assemble from a 56 Chysler to put on my 56 plymouth plaza all info is appreciated, i have a line on one right now...also the spindles should interchange i imagine?? i want the 11 inch drum spindles from this car too.... also am not sure what the motor was its not there so this play a part???
i placed it under hotrods instead of tech board?? not sure the mistake here...would be nice to have pointed it out....
The first thing I would do is measure what you can on the upper and lower control arms. If measurements seem to be the same you should have a bolt in. If not maybe the control arms could be switched also. Other than that the only difference may be in the front springs. If there was a Hemi in the Chrysler it would most likely have stiffer springs that the Plymouth. If you don't need to switch control arms than this is a non-issue. Also that steering box has a shim behind it where it's attached to the frame. Don't lose that. you will need it to align the column correctly. Also I didn't think Mopar people were so grouchy. Nuff said .....
well if everything would bolt in i would take it but its far away to be shipped to me so i have to rely on the guy there, i have not much exp in the old mopar stuff...i have a 318 in mine now but it has the small drums for the 6 cyl....
