Having an issue getting the shiffter in and out of drive, man you gotta really pull down hard to get it out of drive to go to reverse and push up hard to go to park.

I took the shiffter linkage off the shaft that goes into tranny and it works fine, so guessing it is in the tranny somewhere, any sugestions?

    Thanks!

Check the linkage where it comes off the column, under the hood, has to be a bind there

How hard is it to move the lever on the trans shift shaft?

Not sure yet, need to get under car to see, it moves fine from the top for a short distance, but i need to put it in drive unhook linkage and go underneath to see if it will come out of gear easy or not, will update this afternoon.

Oh yeah, chauk wheels first thing.

OK this is what's up, in the pivot arm that Both the steering collum linkage and shiftshaft hook up to is a grease fitting on the bottom, you can only see it while under the car, greased it up and problem mostly solved, the shift shat going to the trans linkage at tranny was allso hitting the frame slightly and causing a slight bind as well.

    Thanks !

  9. Barry, glad you got it fixed. Bruce.
