That '15 T body [sectioned/raised rear] is still available [I think] from California Custom Roadster for around a grand.. dave
Nope. ****, man, all cars go together like kits, if you plan it right. Some folks don't the means or retirement schedule to travel hundreds of miles to buy **** they'll have to refurbish and hope it'll work. Doesn't down grade their build any.
My top three a****st kit cars: Lotus 6 Dragmaster from Carlsbad, California Dragmaster street legal tube frame roadster No particular order, still missing one picture.
I've often thought a '53 '54 Corvette Kit would fun. Just buy a junk '54 Chevy and narrow and shorten the frame and put the fibergl*** body on it. Probably only cost a few thousand $s. Gary
Wish someone would re-release the Devin sports cars from the '50s, I might just add one to my to do list.
Here is what you end up with after you put together one of Dan Woods' "kits". I dislike the term "kit car" also.....but I guess many T-buckets, Lotus 7 clones and Cobra clones are.
Im not sure if the seven came as a kit or a complete car, but I know the six could be hat both ways, because of an British tax issue. And replica cobra's are, original was turn key.
I've always wanted to build a Speedway T bucket just for the simplicity of it. Sent from my SM-G920V using H.A.M.B. mobile app
Would probably change the headlights, and build a slightly more conservative top, but overall this is a slick little hot rod. Oh, and I would also install a naugahyde interior....never understood using fabric upholstery in a roadster.
