Technical Chevy 250 HELP!

    You got a 12 volt battery in there it looks to me. So, I would bet your running 12 volts.
     
  2. You had 2 issues with your car. The "no start" and the "fuel leak".
    We get involved here, with our replies, so we can be of ***istance, to those guys in need.
    On the flip side, we like to hear back, telling us what actually fixed the no start and what fixed the gas leak at the fuel pump.
    Maybe your results can help others.
    Let us know what fixed the '50.

    The no start issue was the fuel pump. Poured fuel down the carb and it fired up but stopped after gas has left the carb. Replaced the fuel pump and it was "fixed" but I had a small leak in the threads from the pump to the carb fuel line. I put permatex thread sealant with PTFE to stop the leak. It still is curing so I will test it out when i get a chance in the next couple days been busy at work. Thanks to all that have helped so far.

    Alright I test drove my car and there are no leaks anymore and the thread sealant works great. When im driving the car its all good but when i stop at a light or something it is barely idiling which is telling me that not enough fuel is getting to the motor so i pulled it off and put just small amount of thread sealant and it fixed it right up.

    yeah its better now but i think it might be the timing or maybe it needs a carb adjustment it just idles a little ruff.
